PMB
A Private Mailbox unit number (e.g., "PMB 123") that USPS regulations require CMRAs to format into the recipient address.
A Private Mailbox (PMB) is a numbered slot at a CMRA. USPS Domestic Mail Manual rules require the recipient line on mail to a CMRA to use either "PMB 123" or "#123" format, which makes the address machine-identifiable as a mailbox rather than a place of business. Address-enrichment services (LexisNexis, Ekata, Melissa) parse the PMB token and forward that signal to bank and platform KYB pipelines.
